The use of top-quality gear ensured smooth operations, while the lean crew was able to navigate security constraints and deliver a premium experience without compromising quality or throughput.

Handling a large number of fans at such a high-profile event required an efficient management system to ensure smooth operations.

The team utilized a software solution to manage all VR headsets from a single device, optimizing throughput while providing seamless experiences for fans.

Well Played Studios partnered with T-Mobile to create a 360° video experience of World Series warmups and batting practice, coordinating with MLB’s production team and fabricators to build a custom dugout, offering fans an immersive, on-the-field VR experience while optimizing headset management for high event throughput.

Well Played Studios partnered with T-Mobile to produce 360° videos of batting practice and warmups during three World Series games. Coordinating with MLB's production team, they captured footage and loaded it into VR headsets. In collaboration with 160/90’s fabrication team, they built a custom "dugout" for fans to experience the field from a player's perspective. The goal was to offer fans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, while utilizing breakthrough technology to manage the headsets efficiently and create a premium, high-throughput experience for each game.

Results

The World Series activation was a huge success, offering diehard fans the unique experience of being virtually on the field with their favorite players during batting practice and warmups. Thousands of fans participated, giving them an exciting introduction to T-Mobile's 5G technology. The activation's popularity extended globally, as international TV crews filmed and featured content from the booth in their broadcasts, further enhancing the reach of both the VR experience and T-Mobile’s brand visibility during this prestigious event.
