Well Played Studios developed three VR educational experiences for the Chevron STEM Zone, focused on teaching the science behind golf, baseball, and football through interactive gameplay. Deployed on Oculus Quest at major Chevron events, the experiences aimed to engage hundreds of students each day while remaining fun and educational, all within a five-minute timeframe. The project involved training brand ambassadors, ensuring smooth operations at MLB stadiums and golf courses, and collaborating remotely with Chevron’s management team to intelligently brand and deliver a seamless educational experience.
Results
The VR experiences created for the Chevron STEM Zone were highly successful, remaining in circulation for over five years and featured at events across the United States. These immersive science lessons introduced thousands of kids to the science behind sports through interactive gameplay. The success of the VR content led to further development, with Well Played Studios being tasked with creating web-based and tablet-based versions, expanding the accessibility and reach of these educational experiences beyond the original VR platform.
